January 31, 2016- In today's digital universe, where people are increasingly working from different places, Microsoft OneNote is a practical application that helps users access and use your documents, regardless of their geographical location. It can be used to capture these momentary flashes of ideas that otherwise wish to remember later and then sync across your different devices.

Using OneNote
GUI Microsoft OneNote's looks like a simplified version of MS Word, making it relatively easy to use. It also provides some additional features, like the ability to record audio or video.
One thing we noticed was different with the application's pages was the ability to write anywhere on the page. A text box is automatically created at the point where we started writing, unlike MS Word where we had to insert a text box where we wanted.
The interface uses tabs to make it easy to organize different projects and several open pages. Notebooks we've created are displayed as tabs on the left side of the application window while the sections and pages that we created on the notebooks appear as tabs at the top. Creating either portable or sections was as easy as right-clicking on a tab panel and make the appropriate selection. The program automatically includes day, date and time when a new page is created. We can create as many pages, sections, and laptops as we wanted.
Every time we create a notebook, we had to choose if we want to keep on your computer, local network or The Internet. We may also share notebooks either the local network or Internet. We may also send pages to email, blog or Word. The program also gave us the opportunity to save individual pages, sections or entire books in a variety of formats.
The application allowed us to take different kinds of notes, including notes of ink and mathematical expressions. Since it automatically saves the notes, no need to worry about losing anything. It also automatically opens the last page worked on when it starts.
The search function made it easy to jump to specific parts, and the results are displayed in real time, listing the sections with search terms. We could even search for text in pictures, thanks to the OCR. The program searches all laptops by default, but can be configured to search for specific pages, sections or groups of sections.
Conclusion
Microsoft OneNote is an intuitive program that allows users to make, access and use different types of notes from multiple locations. If you are using it to take notes while working with other programs, you can dock at the desk so always remains visible even when switching applications. While the program includes an OCR function can be used to extract text from images, it is not very accurate.
